Kainji Dam, located in Borgu LGA of Niger State, is a multipurpose hydroelectric facility. It features a civil dam structure, a gated spillway, hydroelectric turbines and generators, and a navigation lock. The dam supports power generation, flood protection, and previously, navigation.

Jebba Hydro Power Plant

Located between Niger and Kwara States, is an earth and rockfill dam with auxiliary dams and infrastructure. It is designed for hydroelectric power generation, flood control, and initially, navigation. The dam spans about 2,000 meters in crest length.

Zungeru Hydro Power Plant

The Zungeru Hydro Power Plant is located in Niger State, Nigeria, strategically positioned on the Kaduna River. It is one of the largest hydroelectric projects in the country and plays a critical role in Nigeria’s power generation infrastructure, addressing the nation’s growing energy demands.
